Join the Freshkills Park Alliance and the Protectors of Pine Oak Woods for a waterfront clean up! We will be cleaning up the waterfront near the New Lane Neighborhood Senior Center.

This North Shore Waterfront Clean Up is supported by and in partnership with Council Woman Kamillah Hanks and NYS Senator Jessica Scarcella-Spanton and their staffs.

Location: Meet at 2 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island 10305

Gear: Wear sturdy, closed toe-shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants highly recommended. Please also bring water, snack and sunblock. PPE will be provided and are required during the project.

Technology: Feel free to take photos but consider carefully before bringing any electronic devices with you as they may possibly get wet, damaged, or dropped during the project.

Restrictions: You will be asked to sign an activity waiver before participating in the program. Participants must be Ages 16+. Please be aware that this clean up site location consists of steep and uneven terrain.

Cancellation: This event will be canceled if registration is too low, or if there is a 60% or greater chance of rain on the day of the event. You will be asked to confirm your registration by email before the event. As we receive cancellations, names will be added from the waitlist. If you know you will be unable to attend, please cancel your registration by email so we can fill the reservation: info@freshkillspark.org

Can’t make it for the beach clean up?  You can still help by promoting our volunteer projects with your friends and neighbors! Students can receive credit for community service hours.  We will also be adding more volunteer opportunities as the season continues.
