The Freshkills Park Alliance works in partnership with the City of New York to transform the former Fresh Kills Landfill into Freshkills Park, which will be the largest public park built in New York City in more than a century. The nonprofit serves as the park’s primary advocate, championing its completion, and increasing public access and engagement alongside government, civic and community stakeholders. With a focus on sustainability and environmental reclamation, the Alliance continuously works to make the park a destination for all.

The Freshkills Park Alliance is fiscally sponsored by the Fund for the City of New York (FCNY). All contributions through our Donate button will be made to FCNY and then allocated specifically to support Freshkills Park Alliance’s work. Both the Alliance and FCNY are tax-exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code, so your contribution is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. Please note that the Fund for the City of New York, as Alliance’s fiscal sponsor, will be named as the donation recipient on your statement.
