The members of the Freshkills Park Alliance who are dedicated to supporting the work of the park.
The volunteers whose assistance with public events and cleanups helped thousands of people visit and explore Freshkills Park this year.
The enthusiastic public that always says, “When can we come here all the time?!” They continue to inspire us!
The artists who want to use our landscape to express their vision and the scientists who do research that furthers the knowledge of sites like ours.

The students and educators for all their enthusiasm and curiosity during class presentations, field trips, and New York Public Library workshops.
The wildlife that remained on site during landfill operations, and those that have returned in abundance since the landfill’s closure, for reminding us how important a resource our open spaces are.
