Field Trip to Liberty State Park

Date: Saturday, June 30th

Timing and Logistics:

• Buses depart from ITP-NYU at 8:30am
• We will travel to Liberty State Park via bus and arrive at approximately 9:30am
• We will leave Liberty State Park at 11:30am, returning to ITP-NYU for lunch at 12:30pm

Considerations

• There is little shade at Liberty State Park, so dress for the heat and sun – hats & sunblock are recommended
• Bring water and a snack
• Access to restrooms may be limited. Please make sure to use the facilities before you board the bus at NYU
• We will be visiting two locations within the park: first, we will visit the open lawns to enjoy the space and view of the City, and second, we will view the un-remediated and fenced portion of the park from a tower conference room within the Liberty Science Center
• This trip will include minimal walking but we will need to stay together such that we can enjoy it fully within the timing of the trip
• This trip does not include full access to the museum; the focus of the trip is the park
