The Garbage We Inherit / The Garbage We Create: A Poetry Workshop, 10/15/21
Join poets Jenny Pisani and Thomas Fucaloro at the Freshkills Park Studio + Gallery for a special poetry workshop that will take poets (18+) of all levels of experience through the generative and creative process of writing a poem. Following the layers of a landfill cap, poets will work step by step to reflect and deconstruct their process and create a poem that explores the emotional garbage we inherit, hold onto, let go of, and transform into something intentional.
Location: 2240 Richmond Ave, Staten Island, NY 10314.
Transportation: The site is accessible by car or the S44, S59, and S94 buses at the Richmond Ave/Travis Ave and Richmond Ave/Draper Pl S stops.
