Public Space Potluck in Hudson River Park, 6/24

Just two days after Connie Fishman’s talk about Hudson River Park in our Freshkills Park Talks lecture series, the Design Trust for Public Space is holding one of their Public Space Potlucks in Hudson River Park.  This is a series of potluck dinners in urban spaces aimed at encouraging discussion about and communal use of public spaces throughout the City.  There have been some cool locations in the past—Gantry Plaza State Park in Long Island City, The Wintergarden at the World Financial Center, the Staten Island Ferry—and this one should be great, too.  The group is convening at Pier 62, the newest section of Chelsea Cove, which opened to the public less than a month ago.  The Design Trust will bring plates, cups and utensils; everyone else is asked to bring a dish and/or drinks to share.

Thursday, June 24 | 6:30-8:30pm
Pier 62 (cross at W. 22nd and W. 23rd)
Subway – 23rd Street (C, E); Bus – M14, M23
