José Ramírez-Garofalo

José Ramírez-Garofalo an Ecologist and the Chief Science Officer of the Freshkills Park Alliance. At Freshkills, he primarily works on projects related to the ecology of grassland communities and the establishment of flora and fauna at the Park. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics from CUNY College of Staten Island, a Master of Science degree in Biology from CUNY College of Staten Island, and is obtaining his Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolution from Rutgers University.
