Climate Conference at Columbia, May 2nd

Columbia University will be hosting The 350 Conference on climate change this Saturday. The one-day conference will focus on the need to lower carbon dioxide emissions (from the current 385 parts per million (ppm) to 350 ppm, hence the name of the conference).  Speakers include Majora Carter, formerly of Sustainable South Bronx, Daniel Hillel from the Center for Climate Systems Research, Gernot Wagner from the Environmental Defense Fund and a keynote address from Dr. James Hansen, Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

May 2nd, 9am-5pm, Rotunda of Low Memorial Library on Columbia’s Morningside Heights campus. $25 to register online or $30 (cash) at the door.  Students get in for free.
