Discovery Day June 26th Schedule

Freshkills Park will offer a Discovery Day event on Sunday June 26th from 11am to 4pm. During this free event, 700 acres and eight miles of trails in the normally closed site will be open, providing opportunities to explore and learn about the landfill-to-park project.

Shuttle Departure Schedule from Staten Island Ferry Terminal in St. George*

10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00

*For Volunteers there will be a 9:00 am shuttle

Parking

Parking will be just outside Freshkills Park in the lots on Beresford Avenue near 350 Wild Avenue. From there, visitors can take a shuttle bus or walk or bike one mile to the main event area.
